New online service for 2023 cash-rebate applications opens January 16

Finland’s audiovisual production incentive’s online service for new applications will be opened for new applications on January 16, 2023 at 8:00 am. The budget for 2023 is 9,500,000 euros.

The production incentive in Finland is a maximum of 25% cash rebate for production costs. The incentive aims to increase international interest in Finland as a production location and to promote the development, growth and internationalization of Finnish companies.

There are some changes taking force starting from the beginning of the year 2023. For example, an additional assessment of the company's financial situation is needed this year. The changes aim to attract large international productions to produce their films in Finland. The larger foreign partnerships are creating growth in the domestic industry which then can enjoy sustainable growth. More on this topic in this earlier article.
