Finland at Series Mania: 'Transport' premieres in the International Competition and seven productions are featured in the "Coming Next from Finland Showcase"

Finnish TV productions are ready to make a splash at Series Mania, the biggest event dedicated to TV series in Europe, organized on March 18-25 in Lille, France.

Finnish crime drama Transport will have its world premiere at Series Mania and is one of the 55 series selected from 331 submissions for the International Competition. Written and directed by Auli Mantila, Transport is a female-led production in which the main characters are played by Emmi Parviainen, Pirkko Hämäläinen and Maria Heiskanen. The series is produced by Tekele in Finland and jonnydepony in Belgium.

Seven TV series introduced 

The "Coming Next from Finland Showcase" introduces seven TV series currently in production. These projects range from horror to comedy to historical adventure. They are all seeking international partners.

  • The Town of Tails (fantasy/mystery) presented by Mark Lwoff, Producer Minna Panjanen,  Bufo
  • Nordic Horror Masters (horror) presented by Aleksi Hyvärinen, Producer Taneli Mustonen, Don Films
  • Valhalla Project (drama/mystery/sci-fi) presented by Juha Wuolijoki,  Snapper Films Productions
  • Guts (drama/thriller) presented by Samuli Norhomaa, Producer Jemina Jokisalo, Solar Republic
  • Raspberry Hill (thriller/horror) presented by Teresa Ekman, Söder Films
  • Crash Plan (Nordic blue/procedural crime) presented by Eero Hietala, Take Two Studios
  • Lempi, Her Name is Love (thriller) presented by Miira Karhula, Creator and Head Writer Seija-Liisa Eskola, Warner Bros ITVP Finland
